FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hip funk, soulful, groove-filled Jazz Trio, The Waz, is New Skool + Old Skool + Ambient Dance Floor Music + Groove = Ethnofusion Funk Jazz at it's finest....

The Waz is supporting the Woodstock Film Festival in it's kick-off press release party (open to the public) at The Knitting Factory, 74 Leonard Street, NYC, on Monday, August 20th, at 7:00pm sharp, in celebration of the Woodstock Film Festival's second annual Festival.

The Waz will feature songs from their newly released EP entitled “4x3" (4 by 3) before backing up the real Old Skool: Dominic Chianese (HBO's “Uncle Jr." of The Sopranos) while he sings a couple of his songs from HIS newly released CD entitled “Dominic Chianese's Hits!"

The Waz will be back in NYC on Tuesday, September 18th at Fez Under Time Cafe, on Lafayette Street, NYC, 9:00pm show, but not before showing their appreciation for all that the Woodstock Film Festival is doing for their 2nd annual event.

The Waz believe in bringing jazz back onto the dance floor...they believe in Sound & Vision and all that music, integrated with all the arts, has to offer...with a positivity supporting every note they play. What better way to support that idea than to kick-off the Woodstock Film Festival at The Knitting Factory, where both the event and the club sponsoring the event has all elements involved? The Woodstock Film Festival will take it's 4 day phenomenal run on September 20th through the 23rd, in Woodstock, NY. The Woodstock Film Festival contact number is (845)679-4265 for further details. The kick-off party at The Knitting Factory is one month prior to the event on Monday, August 20th, 2001.
