In November 2009 Riviera Maya became one more time the host for the best national and international Jazz acts of all times.

Combining the most varied expressions of the genre once again in it's seventh edition the Riviera Maya Tourism Board shared with visitors an unforgettable “fiesta" of sun, ocean and music where fun was guaranteed.

Artists such as Gino Vannelli, Herbie Hancock, The Royal Band, Colin Hunter, Al Jarreau, Juan Alzate, Mark Aanderud, Enrique Neri, Narimbo, Jim Beard, Spyro Gyra, Pat Martino and Sergio Mendes participated in this wonderful event under the moonlight on the beach.

The band Aguamala that is managed by the famous Mexican drummer Fernanado Toussaint is organizing this festival since 2004.

This annual event gives local and foreign jazz performers a chance to showcase their talents near the Ultramar pier on Mamitas Beach and is normally starting up around 8:00 in the evening; this festival fills the streets of Playa del Carmen, Mexico with music and dancing throughout the night.

This four-day festival attracted tourists from all over the world and is cost is absolutely free.
Fifty thousand visitors came this year to enjoy this beautiful music in the heart of paradise. This Jazz festival is consulted as the most important in whole Latin America.

Everybody is talking about this special event; it's becoming well known around the world and is inspiring to convert in a significant Jazz festival as it is the Jazz festival in Montreal.

This year seven million Mexican pesos were invested in this concert on the beach and it was the best choice they could make, because being a tourist place Playa del Carmen, Mexico, this concert attracted many tourists which helped out a lot in this economic crisis.

People who came to revel in the Latin Jazz Festival got to experience a combination of jazz genres in a festive ambience that stirred their emotions and left them asking for more.

This concert educated the ears of many assisting people; it showcased different talents and music styles, many with an inclination towards Latin jazz.

Because it has maintained a following that has continually grown over time, the event gets better every year and constantly exceeds the expectations of the event organizers, musicians and audience.

I'm inviting you to assist next year in November to this amazing Jazz Festival and don't forget there is no better experience than feel this soft and white Caribbean sand under your foots and listen to this wonderful smooth Jazz music.
