The Jazz Cruise will set sail next February with one of the greatest treasures in the musical world onboard when Al Jarreau sails on the cruise for the first time ever. One of the most beloved artists in not just jazz, but in all of contemporary music, Jarreau will perform on the ship as it travels on the majestic Celebrity Summit from Fort Lauderdale to Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize and Key West between January 28 and February 4, 2017. The first and only full ship charter in the world dedicated to “straight ahead” jazz, The Jazz Cruise will celebrate its 16th consecutive year of operations in 2017, making it one of the longest running full ship charter music cruises ever produced. Returning to The Jazz Cruise for the third year in a row is Gianni Valenti, owner of the legendary NYC jazz club Birdland. He will hold court in a specially-designed Birdland venue onboard each night (replete with Birdland fare and libations) for a late show as well as a late, late night jam. In all, nearly 100 musicians and luminaries from the jazz world will hold concerts throughout eight days and seven nights.

“We wanted to make our “Sweet Sixteen” anniversary an unforgettable party for our guests,” says Michael Lazaroff, Executive Director, Entertainment Cruise Productions, LLC. “Having Al Jarreau onboard to help us celebrate is a dream come true for all of us at The Jazz Cruise and is a gift to all of our amazing guests.”
