One of the biggest guitar festivals in Europe, the “World of Guitar" took place in Kaluga, Russia, on the 25th - 29th of May, 2015.
Previous years have seen leading musicians from more than 30 countries take part in the festival. Among them were: Paco de Lucia, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell, Leo Brower, Vicente Amigo, to name but a few. This year's 18th annual festival began with a concert of an excellent collaborative effort from three of the finest acoustic guitarists of new generation in Europe: Henrik Andersen (Denmark), Jose Antonio Rodriguez (Spain) and Roman Miroshnichenko (Russia).
Throughout incredible guitar show, the trio demonstrated their fantastic instrumental skills, musicality and deep knowledge of jazz, flamenco, Latin, Indian and Mediterranean rhythms. This is sympathetic, emotional musicianship, where each musician complements each other instead of trying to out-do the other.
This year the guitar trio plans fall tour Russia and Europe.
