Jazz Live! returns to the Flushing Town Hall stage with three remarkable concerts that pay tribute to jazz legends including Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington and Tito Puente.

On Friday, March 18th, legendary singer and pianist Nat Jones pays homage to the great Nat King Cole. The concert “Unforgettable" will feature the Nat Jones Trio that also includes bassist Rich Goode (played with Elvin Jones) and percussionist/drummer Warren Smith. Jones has performed at landmarks like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center; and recorded with the late Cootie Williams on Blue Note.

The Friday, April 1st concert titled “Jazz of the Duke" features Arthur Baron and The Duke's Men. Baron is a composer, arranger and performer who plays many instruments including the trombone, mandolin, and didjeridoo. Baron will lead his eight-piece group through great jazz standards and special arrangements of Ellington classics like “Take the A Train,” “Sophisticated Lady" and “Mood Indigo."

On Friday, June 3rd, the final concert of the spring season, “Latin Jazz" features trumpeter Ray Vega and Latin Jazz Quintet. Vega, a veteran of the Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria and Ray Baretto bands, performs an evening of salsa and Afro-Cuban music.

All concerts take place in the beautifully renovated Flushing Town Hall Theater. Seating is cabaret-style. Flushing Town Hall is located one block east of Main Street, on the corner of Northern Blvd. & Linden Place. Ample free on-site parking is available.
