The Farm Aid 2009 music concert event of the year, presented by Horizon Organic, will be October 4 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri.

Farm Aid is the longest running benefit concert series in America, inspiring millions of Americans to support American farmers.

Musicians already confirmed for the Farm Aid 2009 music concert are Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Wilco, Jamey Johnson, and Phosphorescent. Farm Aid music concert was on July 4, 1986 at Manor Downs outside Austin, Texas. Farm Aid II was shown to millions of people live on VH-1. Performances from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Alabama, The Beach Boys, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and dozens more musicians. Farm Aid is one heck of a party and not only will you be entertained by Farm Aid Board Members and musicians Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, you can do like we did and tailgate the entire day before the Farm Aid concert!

The first Farm Aid benefit concert was in Champaign, Illinois on September 22, 1985. Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, B.B. King, Loretta Lynn, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and more entertained more than 80,000 American farm supporters. The first ever Farm Aid concert raised more than $7 million to help America's family farms.
