NCM East Records is pleased to announce the release of The Four Bags self-titled debut album. This eclectic chamber-jazz quartet features accordion, trombone, guitar and saxophone. Regulars on the East Coast touring scene, The Four Bags entrance the listener with film noir vignettes ("K Lounge"), Beach Boys covers ("Good Vibrations" and “Here Today") and sonic experimentation ("distance"). With a varied background ranging from modern dance composition to big band arranging to jingle recording, these musicians have culled from their past experiences to create a totally unique sound and a truly original album.

About The Four Bags: The Four Bags is a NYC-based ensemble that fuses the distinct timbres of accordion, trombone, guitar, and woodwinds to weave a vibrant and unpredictable texture of sound. The ensemble was conceived as a forum for featuring the improvisational and writing talents of its members. A healthy disregard for stylistic boundaries frees The Four Bags from any predetermined approach to the music, an aspect that has attracted several accomplished composers to create original pieces and arrangements for the group. The Four Bags musical breadth is as eclectic as the backgrounds and tastes of the individual members, which include jazz, pop, film, classical, country, traditional Irish, Latin, and heavy metal music. These aspects, combined with an occasional dose of humor, result in performances that are not only striking and sophisticated but also highly entertaining.

About NCM East: NCM EAST is a record company, information center, retailer and music collective whose main goals are to provide an outlet for new, original music and to establish the NCM East name as a synonym for honest, well-crafted, forward-thinking sounds. The artists affiliated are all original in sound, paying less time adhering to the demands of popular culture and more time to the materialization of those sounds heard in their heads and hearts.
