The 2010 Chicago Blues Festival will take place from June 11th to June 13th in Grant Park.

This Festival is scheduled and presented by the Mayor's Office of Special Events. What's amazing about this festival is not only the line-up, which is extraordinary, but the fact that The Chicago Blues: A Living History Band is headlining day 2 of the festival.

Chicago Blues: A LIVING HISTORY is it. They are considered by many to be the most important tribute to the blues of our time.

CBLH brings together two generations of Chicago's greatest living traditionalists. In an unprecedented Chicago Blues collaboration, the legendary Billy Boy Arnold, John Primer, Billy Branch and Lurrie Bell-inheritors of the Chicago Blues tradition-have come together to celebrate and pay tribute to the evolution of the genre from its earliest days through the present. You can't ask for a better line up than that. You'd have to be crazy to miss this one.

You can also buy an album these guys put out in 2009. It's a 2 disc set that pays tribute to blues creators, its history, its tradition, and its lifestyle. Of all the reviews this CD has gotten, I have yet to see a bad one. This CD is essentially mandatory for any serious blues fan. This set has been nominated for a Grammy, a Blues Music Award, and more. It is certainly worth a listen.

Check it out on Amazon.

Details on the Band.
