ELECTRONICA KILLERS UNITE FOR WORTHY CAUSE

In an effort to help rebuild and revitalize the iconic Georgia Theatre that was devastated by a fire on June 19, 2009, STS9 will perform a PA & DJ set as the headliner for a Georgia Theatre Benefit on Saturday, October 23, 2010. MiMOSA and Two Fresh will also perform at the Spring Valley Eco Farm, which is located approximately four miles from downtown Athens, Georgia. A large portion of the proceeds from this event will help the rebuilding effort of the legendary Athens venue.

The Georgia Theatre focused on nurturing the careers of thriving, upcoming artists who often went on to achieve national acclaim. STS9 spent years playing shows at the Georgia Theatre (including their sold out 9 year anniversary 'homecoming' concert), and the group has a strong connection with not only the venue, but also the city of Athens. The inception of this event proves that the far-reaching artistic community of “The Classic City" has a profound presence, which will continue to support the venue that means so much to both musicians and music fans around the globe.

The Spring Valley Eco Farms is a non-profit organization focusing on education, research, and outreach to promote more ecologically sustainable agriculture. Spring Valley sits on 100 acres on the Georgia Piedmont. More details about the benefit concert will be released through the website created specifically for this event, where tickets are also on sale.
