The (sweet) and lowdown so far. Crowdfunding news from Le Q's Hot Club of London!
All About Jazz has previously reported Le QuecumBar's crowd-funding plight, and here’s an update with some exciting news but support is still needed—time limited for responses.

The (sweet and) lowdown of our crowdfunding efforts: Already we’ve raised over £11,000! Great support has been received from All About Jazz readers but we’ve got two weeks to raise a further £24,000...

For as little as a tenner you can become an indelible part of Le Q; EVERY pledge earns you a place and a personal message on our planned commemorative work of art, to be proudly displayed on the walls of the club.

Beyond that, here are just SOME of the other rewards and returns that could be coming your way:

  • Free CDs from our unique discography—up to the complete collection!
  • Complimentary tickets to premier events;
  • Discounts and freebies galore!
If you’re organising a private event why not pledge against booking Le Q Allstars, our house band to play at a venue of your choice!

But here’s something that one could consider priceless. Biel Ballester, Spanish Patron of Le Q, master guitarist and composer (notably for Woody Allen’s romantic fantasy Vicky Cristina Barcelona) will compose a song with a name of your choice. The piece will be performed, recorded and filmed here at Le Q when Biel comes over in November (8th and 9th), to make a truly unique, romantic gift. How much do you think? Ten grand? No, just £400! An amazing gesture from Biel. And this reward is limited obviously. Lastly, Le Q’s Crowdfunding and Kickstarter Party.

Our party of all parties is planned for Wed 26th August. Tickets are already selling fast. I’ve lined up four of London’s finest bands, favourites all. Featured on the night will be Trio Manouche, Peter Golding’s Cafe Django, Cafe Manouche, and the scoundrel-in-chief, Mr Arthur Foxsaque of the Top Shelf Band! In the company of these four fabulous bands, expect swing, vintage swing, filthy swing and of course Gypsy swing—yep, we’ll be swinging! But please do so now, as tickets are selling quickly.

Preserving the UK's temple of Jazz Manouche; Le QuecumBar is available on Kickstarter until September 2nd.
