Ohio based Alternative Jazz Funk Band SOUNDOCTRINE's Producer and Drummer Jere B, has made his acting debut in the movie

Greater Threat, written and directed by filmmaker Ray O'Neil. The World Premiere will take place Sunday, June 29th at 2:00pm at Tower City in Cleveland, Ohio 230 Huron Road #7256, Cleveland, OH 44113. Cast & Crew Red Carpet arrival begins at 12:30pm.

A VIP Reception will follow at the Tower 230 Bar & Grille, featuring live music by SounDoctrine.

“It's been a wonderful experience," says Jere B, who admits to no formal acting training. “Just watching the process of how movies are made, the technology and the discipline of acting is totally surreal -I have learned a lot," he adds. Jere notes that he was asked to audition for the role by actress Cheryl Goodlin who co-leads an ensemble cast as investigative reporter Eileen Conway. “We met at YSU where we read through a script for a different project and then lost touch for about a year. Cheryl saw the band performing downtown the following summer and re-introduced herself. She told me about the role and later helped secure my audition and here we are. The role started as a mere paragraph and soon mushroomed!"

Jere B plays the character of Johnny, cameraman and assistant to Eileen. The plot of the movie deals with the underworld of corrupt public officials kidnapping and smuggling underage girls for profit overseas and what goes wrong as Eileen plans to expose the truth. Greater Threat is rated R and is for mature audiences. Jere B, a Christian Minister, points out that his character's participation in the action adventure “is rated total G!"

In addition to his involvement on screen, Jere also contributes original music to the film's score penned by well known composer

Aryavarta Kumar. “It was exciting to be able to work with someone so seasoned in this genre. Arya's a consummate professional and his willingness to 'show me the ropes' is an experience I'll never forget!" SounDoctrine's music is now airing nationally on The Weather Channel.

Jere B, along with select members of the cast will appear on “Urban Flix" Monday June 23rd @ 8:00PM via various Time-Warner Cable Channels; 570 WKBN-AM's Dan Rivers Talk Show Thursday June 26th @ 10:30am and also on WFMJ-TV 21's Community Connection with Madonna Chism Pinkard Sunday, June 29th at 6:30 AM to discuss the film and its premiere.
