LANGUAGE OF LOVE" CD RELEASE"

(Los Angeles, CA) Island Girl Music announces the new release of recording artist Lisa Deveaux's sophomore CD, “Language of Love," worldwide release date scheduled for July 12th, 2011. CD distribution through iTunes, Amazon.com, CD Baby and Borders e-retailers. The smooth and soulful 12 song CD is available for $12.99 (suggested retail price).

Lisa's sophomore project makes it clear that the “Language of Love" is her answer to love.

Lisa Deveaux fulfilled part of her dream with the '05 debut CD “Shakin' That Jazz" and displayed her talents as a gifted singer, writer and producer, working with producer's Donald Tavie (Lakeside) and the legendary producer/drummer, Norman Connors. The CD featured smooth jazz favorites Bobby Lyle, Everett Harp and Karen Briggs. Lisa's debut ushered her into the spotlight, having garnered favorable acclaim and increased popularity throughout Europe. And her star continues to shine with the new CD “Language of Love"

Growing up in Chicago and listening to Earth Wind & Fire, Sade, Sergio Mendes and Diana Ross, influenced Lisa's style and musical taste. Her talents have deep roots in the Chicago music scene. In the city's Mecca of jazz and blues, Deveaux was able to hone her craft in local jazz clubs and gain a loyal fan base. It was there that as a young girl she fell under the tutelage of the great vocalist Phyllis Hyman which led to her becoming the youngest background singer accompanying Phyllis and later lead to touring and backing Icon Barry White.

James Walker from Jazz Chicago says “Lisa left the audience in awe. Her sparkling vocal instrument and ability to rearrange classics without committing sacrilege, impressed all in the audience." Barry Towler from Soul Express wrote, “Lisa is an all-around talent whose album is every inch a winner and has a quality that easily rubs shoulders with vocal jazz heavy weights."

As the journey continues to unfold, “Language of Love" does not disappoint. Having co-written seven of the songs, Deveaux's heartfelt lyrics and sultry vocal delivery are evident. The songs are an intimate look into her personal journal.

Lisa states “Language of Love' is about being open, honest and willing to be hurt." Having gone through a bad relationship, she came out on the other side with a strong desire to tell her “real life truth" about love. With the vulnerability of a woman and the fearless expression of an artist, Lisa dives heart first into the secrets that a woman often holds back for fear of revealing too much of her soul.

The “Language of Love" is a 12-song collection of heart felt stories that everyone who has been in love can relate to. Saxophonist Marion Meadows lends his effort on the title track single/video, and international producer Tigran Saakian's music arrangements, makes this compilation a journey through love, life and heartbreak.

The “old soul" in Lisa shines as she covers 2 up-tempo, rhythm driven soul-pop classics. The first is “You Belong To Me," written by Michael Mc Donald and Carly Simon. Lisa makes it hers with a sensuality that fans of the original will truly appreciate.

The second is a tribute to the genius of the late Motown producer, Norman Whitfield, “Ooh Boy" where Lisa takes a hypnotic-pop dance approach pulling you into the groove. The bonus to the collection is an original track written by Lisa simply entitled “Birthday Wish." A well crafted birthday song that one would want to sing to their significant other and celebrate, birthday or not.

Jonathan Widran of Smooth Jazz News says, “Deveaux's magic is her emotional vocal, combined with a sharply-produced, stylistically-eclectic slate of top-notch originals and covers that quickly endears her to audiences."

Manager Myron Bernard, who has managed soul/jazz artists Lynne Fiddmont, Composer Rayford Griffin and Bassist Nate Watts, (Stevie Wonder's Musical Director) said: “Lisa is a shining star that has the ability and talent to make a global impact with her music. Her passion as a recording artist and entertainer is what dreams are made of. “

Bernard continues, “I look for the overseas market to embrace Lisa's sound. I believe the soon to be released single “You Belong To Me" can impact radio with a unique twist on a classic pop number. There is no doubt the UK will enjoy her classic, Soul/ Jazz, Adult Contemporary, sound. She is speaking the universal language of love. All we have to do is listen."

Lisa says “I felt it necessary to delve into some other things with this record and create a real connection with people. “Language of Love" is all me: loving, vulnerable, open... and real."
