Brazilian pop maestro Sergio Mendes comes to the Hollywood Bowl for two nights, Friday and Saturday, July 30 and 31, at 8:30 p.m. Opening for and complementing Mendes' sound is the return of the newly-reunited Morcheeba, in its Hollywood Bowl debut.

For his set at the Bowl, Mendes, who is credited with being the first to bring Brazilian music to the masses, performs a combination of his timeless hits and selections from his high-energy, just-released CD Bom Tempo ("good time" in Portuguese). The new CD highlights fun, new repertoire, as well as Brazilian rhythms and artists in a series of up-tempo tracks.

Morcheeba, on its first major tour since welcoming vocalist Skye Edwards back into the fold after a six-year separation, brings to audiences its unique blend of music influenced by trip hop, rock, rhythm and blues, and pop. The group's latest CD, Blood Like Lemonade, was released in the US on July 13.
