Record Store Day 2015 Stats: 628% Growth Over Previous Week, Top 50 Vinyl Sales Chart

Independent record store data compiled by BuzzAngle Music for Saturday's Record Store Day 2015 shows once again what a powerful sales and marketing platform this anual promotion has become.  

Key data: 

  • 628% growth in sales at independent record stores on Record Store Day (Saturday, April 18) in comparison to the previous Saturday (April 11).
  • 3.3% growth from Record Store Day 2014.
  • The White Stripes’ Get Behind Me Satan and Metallica’s cassette demo No Life Til Leather top the BuzzAngle Music Charts of Record Store Day Releases; top 25 titles listed below.
With full support from the Independent Music Store Coalitions (CIMS, DRS, AIMS) and the Music Business Association, BuzzAngle Music’s worked with Record Store Day to provide tools for physical and digital music retail analysis.
