Rale Micic Quartet at Kavehaz

New York City, NY - June 19, 2002 at 9pm - Rale Micic Quartet will be appearing at the Kavehaz Cafe, performing original music based on jazz and Balkan influences. Rale Micic is a Serbian born guitarist and composer currently working in New York City. As Ron De La Chiesa from WGBH Radio Station said, “... Rale's music has a mystical sound, with a melancholy quality..." and as the Boston Phoenix described him, Rale Micic has “...a completely new sound and approach to harmonic concepts..." The Quartet personnel include Rale Micic on guitar, Bob Reynolds on tenor, bassist Ian Riggs, and Alvin Atkinson Jr. on drums. There is no cover charge.
