Carimbo is the independent imprint from Porta-Jazz Association, based in Oporto (Portugal). With our sixth album out we want to present you to our concept: the outcome of one record released under purview of Carimbo Porta-Jazz is an unique limited edition with special attention given to details such as sound quality, shape and graphic treatment, defying the massive distribution and stating the personal investment musicians hand over to their projects, be it during the creation process, performance or when sharing their work with the audience.
Our first album Aljamia, by Coreto, was considered the best portuguese jazz album in 2012. And since then, we never stop promoting the original and creative work developed by our jazz musicians.
