FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed “Best of New York" by New York Magazine and “an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post, will continue its star-studded Fall 2009 season with jazz vocalist, PATTY ASCHER September 8 – 12.

In this special promotional event, Ascher will premier songs from her soon to be released CD, Jazz’n’ Samba - a collection of her own compositions, highlighting the fusion of cool jazz with syncopated samba, in a very genuine and latino fresh way of composing and singing. All shows take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

PATTY ASCHER’S debut album Bacharach Bossa Club was produced by the legendary, Roberto Menescal. The album includes some of Mr. Bacharach greatest hits and was the best selling in UOL Portal (the largest internet portal in Latin America).

She came up with the idea for her latest Jazz’n’ Samba while touring with Michel Legrand in October 2008, in Brazil. This unique experience of sharing the stage with Mr. Legrand encouraged and inspired her to record a new album with her own songs. The recording Jazz’n’ Samba mixes Portuguese and English lyrics, and features arrangements from 10 most important Brazilian conductors: Dori Caymmi, Roberto Menescal, Eduardo Lages and others.

The album is currently being launched and soon will be available for licensing.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will present PATTY ASCHER Monday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 4 at 8:30PM. Both shows are free with a $25.00 food and beverage minimum. Jackets are suggested but not required. The club is located at 540 Park Avenue at 61st Street in New York City.
