Reeds & Deeds II, the popular jazz radio program broadcast from Emerson College in Boston, premiers a 4th season this Sunday, January 15th at 6pm.

The show is continuing on its great success of the past three season. From September to December 2011, Reeds & Deeds II interviewed greats such as Kurt Elling, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Stanley Sagov and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey as well as up and coming jazz students including Jeremy De Jesus and The 427 Factory.

This seasons' premier will be headlined by jazz great Pat Metheny. In his interview with on the show, he will discuss his new album What's It All About and other solo endeavors as well as discuss his colleagues and more. Also expected this season are interviews and/or live performances with Jason Moran, Matt Vashlishan, Dave Liebman, Matt Savage, Joe Doubleday joined by Ralph Peterson and Mario Castronari, among others.

Lydia Liebman, the host, creator and producer of the show is thrilled about the coming broadcasts and promises it will be a great season. Liebman promises more rare, never-before-heard music as well as another special similar to the John Coltrane: The Music You Haven't Heard show of last year (which featured an array of underground bootlegs and outtakes).

Reeds & Deeds II is broadcast on WECB. The show can be streamed online at wecb.fm from 6 to 8 pm every Sunday.
