John McNeil and Bill McHenry will be playing every Sunday, Mary Cleere Haran and Debra Barsha every Monday, Arturo O'Farrill is a regular, as are many significant jazz musicians (most of whom live a stone's throw from Night and Day--Brooklyn being the epicenter of contemporary music and writing!). FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND MONDAY SHOWS AT 9 SUNDAY AT 8 DOORS OPEN A HALF HOUR BEFORE STARTING TIME FRIDAY FEBRUARY 10 Arturo O'Farrill Quartet Arturo O'Farrill, son of the legendary Cuban composer/bandleader Chico O'Farrill and musical director of the Lincoln Center Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, performs at Night and Day the first two Fridays in February. These are rare opportunities to see this high-energy, exceptionally gifted artist perform with his quartet in the intimate setting of Night and Day's gorgeous skylit back room at a fraction of what it costs to see him in Manhattan. Cover $10 plus one-drink minimum SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11 DEBORAH LATZ sings Standards Deborah Latz returns to NIGHT AND DAY from her triumphant appearances in Paris, where she was hailed as “a jazz vocalist of the highest quality" by Eric Boisson. Fidelio said, “These songs--known by us all--are so tailored to Deborah Latz's life, that her renditions are entirely unique, natural and authentic." Cover $10 plus one-drink minimum SUNDAY FEBRUARY 12: John McNeil and Bill McHenry ANTIDOTE FOR BLUE MONDAY Russ Freeman is a largely forgotten jazz composer, a pianist who wrote distinctive, catchy melodies and whose work was played and recorded by Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Frank Rosolino and a host of others in the 1950's. Every Sunday night from 8 to 10:30, trumpeter John McNeil and tenor saxophonist Bill McHenry will be playing these classic tunes, many of which have not been heard for half a century. John and Bill are joined by Tom Hubbard on bass and Jochen Rueckert on drums. Cover $5 plus one-drink minimum

MONDAY FEBRUARY 13: Debra and Mary's NIGHT ON THE TOWN: Debra Barsha, Mary Cleere Haran and friends. Debra Barsha (pianist, composer of Radiant Baby) and Mary Cleere Haran ("America's most literate chanteuse"--the New Yorker) sing original songs and standards, exchange banter, and host guests from the worlds of Broadway, Off Broadway, political satire, songwriting, politics, and the world at large. Each show has a different theme and one very special guest.
