The kings of Washington, DC’s Tropicaliente sound, Empresarios, have been busy in the studio and are back with a summer scorcher! The Volume EP features four brand new tracks with instrumental versions. As the Empresarios prepare to drop their second studio album, they continue to expand their sound, cross-pollinating multiple musical genres while embracing the warm, sunny vibes of Caribbean culture.

The EP starts off with a spectacular collaboration between the Empresarios and Australian producer Omegaman. The result of this production powerhouse is “Para Mis Amigos,” a world-class Latin Funk tune, heavy on the horns, breakbeats and signature congas of bandleader Javier Miranda. This tune is destined to become the soundtrack to any summer celebration. Then the Empresarios put their ear to the dance floor to create “Volume,” a Latin House anthem that brims with sultry lyrics, live instrumentation and driving beats. Turn it up and let this infectious party-starter get into your head! Getting deep, the vocals of Felix Perez and Frankie Rosado command the laid back, head-nodding Reggae groove of “Rompan Fila.” And closing out the release is a modern downtempo classic called “Estereolismo’ the perfect song to wind down the party with funky horns, layers of guitar work and soothing percussion. Also included in the pack are instrumentals.

With sounds ranging from Latin Funk to House, Dub, Reggae and Downtempo, this EP is sure to please music lovers, DJs and fans alike. In just a few short years the Empresarios have established themselves as an impressive force on the tropical music scene.
