The Blue Room On Historic 18th And Vine Weekly Line Up July 11th-14th
Kansas City, Mo: The Blue Room, one of the Down Beat Magazine’s top ranked jazz clubs, has another stellar line up in store for its patrons this week.
Thursday July 12th, the Blue Room will host a special performance from Nicolay featuring the Hot at Nights. Nicolay is an electronic music, hip hop and R&B producer from the Netherlands. The Hot at Nights are an exploratory jazz trio from North Carolina. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
The Doug Talley Quartet featuring Joe Parisi, headline the Friday July 13th show. The quartet was founded in 1995 and they have performed all over the Midwest together ever since. Parisi is a professor at UMKC and a very accomplished composer.
The weekend closes out with the Reggie Thomas Trio featuring Mardra Thomas. Reggie Thomas is an internationally known pianist and educator. Mardra Thomas is a St. Louis native and talented vocalist whose voice can conjure memories of classic jazz singers.
The mission of the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City is to celebrate and exhibit the experience of jazz as an original American art form through Performance, Education, Exhibition and Research.
