JAMIE OUSLEY

This grand musician is a professor of Jazz bass at Florida International University. He was recently named “Best South Florida Jazz Musician of 2011" by Boca Life Magazine and his previous CD, “Back Home", was named “Best South Florida Jazz Release of 2010" by The Palm Beach Post.

His latest recording, “A Sea Of Voices", is a marvelous new Jazz release featuring diverse musicians bringing their unique creativity into a recording project that seeks to combine the worlds of Jazz and diverse faiths to benefit a common cause that we can all unite behind; the care of our planet Earth. Sales from this recording will benefit The Sunshine State Interfaith Power and Light Organization in their mission to mobilize faith communities in Florida to care for creation.

He'll be joined by the great pianist, Stephen Scott (Ron Cater, Sonny Rollins), the powerful Troy Roberts on sax, the incredible drummer Carlomagno Araya and the delightful vocalist Nanami Morikawa.

Please tune in worldwide on our Internet site at WLRN.Org at 1:00pm, EST on 4/27/12, for the broadcast.

This show is generously co-sponsored by Pollo Tropical and Friends of WLRN.
