The DOUBLE CD has been released to commemorate the centenary of Adelaide Hall's birth on October 20, 2001. The Cd contains over 50 of her early recordings, which she made between 1927 to 1945.

A central figure in the great resurgence of African American music in the 1920's and 30's, Adelaide Hall was a jazz innovator, who performed with such jazz greats as Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Art Tatum - all featured on this superbly re-mastered double CD. Creole Love Call, The Blues I Love To Sing, Minnie The Moocher, I Musy Have That Man, I'm In The Mood For Love, The Lady Is A Tramp, Begin The Beguine, Porgy, As Time Goes By and Sophisticated Lady are just some of the tracks included on this extraordinary compilation. Also included are her rare ENSA tracks - recorded for the troops during the second World War - and an even rarer recording she made in Berlin during the summer of 1936 which has never before been released.
