STEPHEN FLINN'S BALD AMBITION TOUR (SOLO PERCUSSION)

Stephen Flinn will be doing a cross-country solo percussion tour which will take him from San Francisco to New York City. In Chattanooga, TN he will be giving a drum clinic and afternoon concert. All of the gigs will be solo percussion, with the exception of the two gigs in Brooklyn where he will be performing with Michael Evans and Bruce Tovsky at the Project Room and with pianist Kevin Uhlingher at 733.

Stephen Flinn is a postmodern improviser who strives to be emotionally correct, while incorporating many aspects of world musics into his improvisations. He has performed throughout Japan, Europe, and the United States with many notable improvisers, and has a new cd out on Pax Recordings. This is his first solo percussion tour.
