New York based jazz vocalist releases her self-titled debut album, Lauren Henderson. The highly anticipated recording includes eleven beautiful jazz and Latin jazz standards in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Swedish. An eclectic mix, the vocalist demonstrates vocal versatility, while capturing the listener with her colorful tones and phrasings.

The album features Sullivan Fortner (piano), Ben Leifer (bass) and Jesse Simpson (drums). The band includes some of the most talented young musicians on the New York Jazz Scene. The budding quartet represents Massachusetts, Louisiana, California and Kansas. Fortner, the creative pianist notorious for his phrasings, counterpoint, and sensational playing in and outside of the country, demonstrates his virtuosity throughout the album. Leifer, always a treat to the listener, is frequently featured throughout the recording where his playing is nothing less than innovative, moving and expressive from his intros to his captivating solos. Simpson, the young percussionist, holds your attention with his intricate concepts, diversity and confidence throughout the eclectic tracks.

The Quartet supports Henderson well through her smoky ballads, sexy bossa-novas and bright swinging standards. Lauren Henderson, the young and fresh vocalist, presents herself well as a versatile musician with a lot to offer the listener throughout the recording.

Physical and digital copies are available. Lauren Henderson is available through her website and will be available on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby and various online stores.
