When you hear her belting out one of her tunes for the very first time, it's hard not to get goose bumps. She has the pipes of a seasoned Diva, the soul of a woman who has truly lived, and an emotionalism that can bring tears to your eyes or make you jump up out of your seat and dance all night long.

“Let Me Introduce Myself,"Mia Fanali's debut album, is a melodic gem featuring 11 original songs. Fanali, and producer Matt Nichols, have created an album that will get you singing, dancing, and feeling inspired. “This album is about the good things in life, the bad things in life, and the moments that change you forever," says Fanali. “It's a true interpretation of the roles I play and what's happened to make me who I am."

Fanali and Nichols have enlisted an all-star cast of musicians for this funk and soul-filled CD: Chops Horns (David “100 Watts" Watson, Darryl “Cool Notes" Dixon who have toured with Alicia Keys and P-Funk, James Cage III and Danny Hall), string arranger Stevie Blacke(Pink, Cher, Rob Thomas), David Livolsi, Drew McKeon, Chris “Big Dog" Davis, Jay Rowe, Ted Nichols, Jay Stollman, Timmy Maia and Suzanne Vick. Matt Nichols also plays several instruments on the record.

Recommended radio tracks: Title cut,"Let Me Introduce Myself,"showcases Mia Fanali's amazing vocals and features the powerful Chop Horns announcing this is a serious album to be reckoned with. The ballad,"Nothing But Love," has a gospel feel and poignant vocals that make it a Fanali signature song. Dance floors are certain to fill when the funk rhythms of “Funky Like Me" are heard. Finally, “Twisted," is the quintessential pop-friendly hit song with great lyrics, stellar vocals, and a memorable melody with an amazing keyboard motif.

Mia Fanali has been singing all her life and joined her first band at the age of 19. A major turning point in her musical career came when she won the Star Idol competition in 2005 and opened the Nutmeg Games at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Fanali relates, “I walked out on stage and saw 6,000 glow sticks in the air. Yes, I was nervous, but I realized, 'I can do this! '"

Fanali also fronts a very successful cover band, Mia & The Riff, who play to packed music venues and outdoor concerts in Connecticut and the New York tri-state area. Although the new CD is her top priority, Fanali says that she will continue to play local clubs for her Mia & The Riff fans.

This summer and fall loom as busy times for Mia Fanali and her “Let Me Introduce Myself" band. They are presently doing extensive media and radio promotion and have several upcoming CD release concerts . Additionally, Fanali will be one of the featured performers at the 2011 World Police and Fire Games at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City on August 31st.
