Mary Pearson will be featured in a full-length concert on BET ON JAZZ showcasing her new Arkadia Jazz album, YOU AND I. The concert will actually be recorded for the upcoming fall season of BET ON JAZZ. Mary will be accompanied by a quintet featuring John Hart on guitar, T.K. Blue on sax, James Weidman on piano, Lonnie Plaxico on bass and Bruce Cox on drums.

3. # JOANNE BRACKEEN - UPCOMING WEST COAST TOUR! #
Later on in May look for the Joanne Bracken Quartet, featuring DON BRADEN along with Jeff Chambers and Greg Hutchinson as they hit the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada. This tour includes concerts at the The Cotton Club in Vancouver, B.C., the Jazz and Blues Company in Carmel, CA, the Jazz and Reggae Fest on the campus of UCLA and Yoshi's in the San Francisco, CA area.
Later in the summer, Arkadia will release Joanne's first studio solo piano album POPSICLE ILLUSION. Done in Joanne's quirky, inimitable style, POPSICLE is a brilliant work that further raises the bar for the jazz solo piano recording. Includes liner notes by Nat Hentoff.
POPSICLE ILLUSION will be followed up quickly by the release of Joanne's first live album with Arkadia, taken from the Joanne Brackeen Trio's command performance at the Jazz Standard in NYC with Ravi Coltrane, Horacio “El Negro" Hernandez and Ira Coleman. The TK Blue Quartet will be featured in a full-length concert on BET ON JAZZ featuring the music of TK's upcoming album EYES OF THE ELDERS. The concert will be recorded for the upcoming fall season of BET ON JAZZ. For this concert, the T.K.Blue (Talib Kibwe) Quartet will feature T.K. Blue on sax, James Weidman on piano, Bruce Cox on drums and Lonnie Plaxico on bass.
T.K. BLUE just got out of the studio having finished the recording of his next album for Arkadia, entitled EYES OF THE ELDERS. Scheduled for a fall release, EYES OF THE ELDERS features Stefon Harris, Randy Brecker, Eric Reed, Lonnie Plaxico, Jeff “Tain" Watts and Steve Kroon. These sessions were magical and vivacious - you won't want to miss this one!
