Montreal, Wednesday, April 13, 2011—"I'm not sick anymore! ;)" proclaims Champion on his official site, and that's music to our ears! The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal is extremely happy to announce that the famed Montreal DJ will rock the walls of the Métropolis during our 32nd edition presented by TD in collaboration with Rio Tinto Alcan, on Thursday, June 30 at 8:30 p.m. as part of the Rythmes Bell series. Tickets for this show go on sale Friday, April 15, at noon.

After taking a break for several months to fight a fierce battle against cancer-which this Champion won by K.O.!-he's back to renew acquaintances with his public-a reunion that he and his team wanted to launch at the Festival. Get ready as Champion and his G-Strings roll out the feverish tracks of Resistance (2009) in this, his return to Montreal spotlight, and the only show he'll present in the city this summer. Fans can expect the usual danceable, contagious and high-voltage set with, as an added bonus, the epic and inspiring slogan, proclaimed loudly and proudly to the rafters: Alive Again!
