All About Jazz Fund Drive Ends -- Improvements Underway
A note to our benefactors...
All About Jazz would like to thank everyone who supported our recent fund drive. Your financial contributions have seeded the initial expansion efforts of our new website. We've already revamped the home page—converting the rest of the web site will follow. We're also excited to announce the imminent launch of All About Jazz On Demand, our new audio player. Soon, readers will have the opportunity to listen to the music they read about. JazzNearYou.com, a jazz calendar web site, is also underway.
The purpose of our recent fund drive was to use the dollars to modernize aspects of AAJ and streamline how the site functions. The fact is, the jazz industry still spends the bulk of its advertising budget in print and until that changes, AAJ will look to reader support as a means to drive revenue to seed our projects. We're the leading jazz website because we continually improve our platform—readers and musicians see it and appreciate it. With greater industry support there's no telling what AAJ can accomplish moving forward.
