Trumpeter Jeff Lofton wins Best Jazz Band 2010-2011 Austin Music Awards @ SXSW
Austin—With a nod to Louis Armstrong, and a rallying cry of “Jazz to the People," jazz trumpeter Jeff Lofton accepted the Best Jazz Band award at the 2010-2011 Austin Music Awards at SXSW last Saturday. Next week, April Fool's Day, marks Lofton's four-year anniversary of moving to Austin, and the celebrating started earlier this week with his standing room only SXSW Showcase debut of the Jeff Lofton Electric Thang @ the Elephant Room in Austin.
