Opus Three will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 7:00 pm at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn. The Aura Electric, Opus Three explores the sound worlds of amplified strings by juxtaposing different approaches to composed and improvised ‘electric chamber music’. The relationship between composed and improvised music as well as the role of technology in music will be expanded through a discussion with the artists and audience and in a program essay whose departure point is Walter Benjamin’s concept of the aura of a work of art.
