16 MarchSwinging in the Hot Club style
Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis can sound uncannily like the late Strephon Grappelli when he wants to. Rather than attempting any slavish replication, Tim, a master of the fiddle in his own right, approaches the Grappelli legacy with a very personal musical voice, His concerts serve up a sparkling array of standards, often with swing adaptations of classical pieces. With regular appearances in our region, Tim has built a large and appreciative audience. Our advice is to arrive early!
