Melvin Gibbs' Phree-dem Downloads week 4 features guitarist Jeff Parker
The Phree-dem Downloads free music series enters week with the composition “Hari Bibi." This song features Jeff Parker (Tortoise, Chicago Underground Duo) on guitar and Francisco Mora Catlett (Innerzone Orchestra, Sun Ra) on drums and percussion. Bassist Melvin Gibbs produced this track for the “JFM Trio" project, which bases its' music around the Voodoo-derived rhythms of Santiago, Cuba.
