Abraham Inc—new album Tweet Tweet
Abraham Inc. is a Klezmer-funk-jazz trio that has been breaking new musical ground. The trio consists of world-renowned Klezmer-jazz clarinetist David Krakauer who has teamed up with a Canadian hip hop producer Josh Dolgin (aka Socalled) and a jazz-funk trombonist from James Brown's band—Fred Wesley. Together they've produced a new album called Tweet Tweet (Pounding Table Records) that is truly unique.
Jazz Times said about Abraham Inc's show at the Apollo Theater in 2008: “This endlessly surprising yet highly successful hybrid of klezmer, funk and hip-hop had the enthusiastic crowd—young and old, Jews and gentiles, whites and blacks—dancing ecstatically in the aisles like it was a Jewish wedding." The New York Times calls their music “a vibrant and irresistible blend of traditional Jewish folk tunes with elements of jazz, rock, funk and hip-hop."
Abraham Inc's album debuted at #7 on the Billboard Jazz Album Chart and at #40 on the Heatseekers Chart.
