Sherman Ferguson's "JazzUnion" CD Recording Finished...

Sherman Ferguson's “Exciting" group,The “JazzUnion" has finally completed recording their “Debut"CD: “WELCOME TO MY DREAM..." The members of the band are:Carl Randall-Tenor Sax,Louis Van Taylor-Tenor & Soprano Saxes & Bass Clarinet,Trevor Ware-Bass(no relation to Wilbur),and of course on Drums & Percussion the leader Sherman Ferguson. The band has recorded eight(8)compositions,including two by the leader,and compositions with 'fresh' arrangements by Sherman and his “Brotherhood" of musicians.The tune list is as follows with composers in parentheses:"Mixed Nuts"(Ferguson),"Call It Whachawanna(J.Griffin),"Lester Left Town"(W.Shorter),"Black,Brown & Beautiful"(O.Nelson),"Monk He See,Monk He Do"(B.Watson),"Lush Life"(Strayhorn),"Philly Joe"/"Jughead's Hat"(Ferguson)"Spirit Of Higgins"(Ferguson/Ware/Taylor/Randall) The CD will be released by Blues Lady Records.The label is owned by the “noted" Jazz & Blues vocalist,Barbara Morrison.The release date is still pending,but should occur some time this summer or early fall,2001. All I can say is “Wait til ya hear this band !!! You will NOT be disappointed !!! THE “JazzUnion" IS BAD !!! The “JazzUnion" 'Communicates' !!! 'Swings' !!! 'Surprises' !!!
