Monday, September 27th, guitarist, composer Todd Clouser will be releasing the debut record with his new collective, A Love Electric on the Out of Tuba Music label. Todd's newest project is a modern take on 70's era electric jazz, featuring some of the brightest names in Minnesota's new music scene, Bryan Nichols on piano, Chris Bates—bass, Greg Schutte—drums, and Adam Meckler—trumpet. The record prominently features legendary NYC jazz trumpeter Steven Bernstein, a veteran of the Lounge Lizards, his own Grammy nominated Sex Mob, and currently the Levon Helm Band. Please join us for the commencing of an international tour in support of A Love Electric for a night of engaging, energetic jazz with nods to avant, rock, and groove.

“A young, genre-defying guitarist, composer, and writer, Todd Clouser is an accomplished musician across the modern jazz and rock spectrum, leading a unique path to recognition as an up and coming act, finding his own voice performing with musicians from Keb Mo to “downtown" NYC jazz legend Steven Bernstein.

Clouser's impassioned performances run from piano balladry to dense jazz and groove, exciting audiences with an approach meant to bend the rules of artistic labeling. “A Love Electric" documents Todd's most aggressive ensemble yet, an energetic quintet based in the stylings of 70's era electric jazz."
