Buddy Greco, the legendary jazz pianist/vocalist celebrating his 55th year in show business, will make one of his rare appearances in New York City when he begins a four-night exclusive engagement at Iridium, 1650 Broadway at 49th Street, performing his new show, From Philly to MacArthur Park,

Backed by Chris Berger on bass, Hap Smith on guitar and Jess Gopin on drums, Buddy will take audiences on an exciting musical journey spanning more than five decades in a career which began in his native Philadelphia and took him to some of the most famous venues around the world. Along the way he met and played music with such greats as Benny Goodman, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Jimmie Webb, Keely Smith and others. The performance schedule for The Buddy Greco Quartet: From Philly To MacArthur Park at Iridium (1650 Broadway at the corner of 49th Street) is as follows: Thursday, July 21 at 8:00 and 10:00 PM; Friday, July 22, at 8:00, 10:00 and 11:30 PM; Saturday, July 23, at 8:00, 10:00 and 11:30 PM; and Sunday, July 24, at 8:00 and 10:00 PM. Buddy Greco has headlined almost every major music room in the United States and abroad, has recorded 70 albums, more than 100 singles and amassed many gold records. In his current show, Buddy will perform some of his greatest hits, including “The Lady Is A Tramp," “Around The World," “Look At Her, Ain't She Pretty" and his signature song, “MacArthur Park," as well as other songs he has rarely performed in New York.

Described as “one of the finest jazz pianists of our time," Buddy Greco was a child prodigy who began playing piano at age 6. He launched his professional career as a radio personality in Philadelphia before joining The Benny Goodman Band at age 16 as pianist/singer/arranger. Although Greco has recorded in a wide range of styles – jazz, country/western and pop, he is best known as a jazz performer. In addition to his world tours with The Benny Goodman Band, Buddy Greco has headlined at almost every important nightclub, cabaret and music room in Las Vegas, where he lives, Atlantic City, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Sydney, Paris and New York. He taped four one-hour music television specials which aired in the United Kingdom in 2001. He is a member of the Philadelphia Music Alliance's “Walk of Fame" and is included in the “Encyclopedia of Great Musicians" and “The Encyclopedia of Great Jazz Singers and Musicians."
