NYC based vocal jazz artist Robin Aleman will release her latest CD, entitled In Your Eyes, on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. On this recording, as with her debut CD, Robin works with long-time collaborators David Epstein on piano and Robert Sabin on bass. They are joined by Brian Adler on drums. Also playing is Nathan Childers on Saxophone, featured on 3 of the 14 tracks.

In Your Eyes features tunes from a wide variety of songwriters—Irving Berlin, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chick Corea, and Duke Ellington, to name a few. Although most of the tracks feature Robin's quartet, she does mix it up with two duets: “It Never Was You" with Brian Adler on drums and “Some Other Time" with David Epstein on piano. By contrast, she uses a quintet to her advantage on three of the tracks: the rarely heard “Something In Your Smile" by Leslie Bricusse, the combination “Blue Bossa/Triste" (which opens with a duet of vocals and sax) and “Lover," heard here as a jazz waltz.

A native of New York, Robin Aleman's smooth vocals have been engaging audiences for many years. She has been performing steadily in the tri-state area, filling houses wherever she plays with her original arrangements. Robin's debut CD was released in 2005 to critical acclaim. She is currently on the faculty at the Singers Forum in New York City.
