Multi-awarded Jazz Pianist and International Recording Artist, Boy Katindig, comes from a well-known clan of musicians who pioneered Latin Jazz in Manila. Regarded as the Philippines' most famous jazz export, Boy Katindig has produced and recorded seven internationally acclaimed albums. His latest CD, “Groovin' High," released under his own label, KoolKat Productions in 2005, is regarded as one of the best independently released genre discs of that year.

Popular jazz artists like Gerald Albright, Abe Laboriel, Brandon Fields, Russ Freeman, Phil Upchurch, Brenda Eager, Robert Greenidge and Michael Paulo has appeared in his records playing his original music. His composition, “Puerto Princessa" had been included in compilations together with the works of Spyro Gyra, Bill Evans, Dori Caymmi and other jazz luminaries. He has headlined the Allegro at the Bellagio in Las Vegas and recently, he toured with artist, Paul Taylor and has opened or shared center stage with George Duke, Fourplay, The Rippingtons, Spyro Gyra, Paul jackson Jr, Jazz Attack, Euge Groove, Kilauea, Jeff Lorber, Rick Braun and Branford Marsalis.

For the first time in Manila, Boy Katindig is joined onstage with an all-male vocal- oriented R&B band, MO-TEEF. Mo-Teef, though fairly new in the local band scene proved to be naturally talented and excellent, promising musicians as they play alongside the Philippine Jazz icon. Also featured in the show, and reuniting with Mr. Katindig, is his former band mate, award-winning vocalist, MARITONI FALCONI who flourished in the jazz era in Manila in the 80s. Her vocal style and presence ensues the nostalgia in the audience who have witnessed the prevalence of jazz fusion in Manila.

“Say What?" Contemporary Jazz at its hippest! is a highly musical, highly energetic and highly entertaining concert showcasing nostalgic jazz tunes from the 70's and 80's, and interpreting them in a modern style that fuses perfectly with the current smooth jazz favorites.

The selections in the show which are hand-picked by musical director, Mr. Katindig, himself, has a balance of retro jazz and new soulful and funky tunes. The show covers a variety of soul and jazz recording artists like, Brian Culbertson, Earth Wind & Fire, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Lou Pardini, Bobby Caldwell, Seawind, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Lorber, The Rippingtons, Patti Austin, Ramsey Lewis, and Freddy Fox. Of course, the show will not be complete without the rendition of the very popular Boy Katindig originals like, “I'll Always Stay In Love This Way," “Capture The Changes," and “Away From You."

“Say What?" Contemporary Jazz at its hippest! Boy Katindig with Maritoni Falconi feat. Mo-Teef will be held in Vue Bar at The Bellevue Manila on September 18, 2010, Saturday at 9:00 PM.
