Popular Contemporary Jazz Artist Euge Groove Develops Interactive Album to Play and Listen to with the Beamz Player Interactive Music System

Groove on This! Album Debuts at J&R MusicWorld MusicFest in New York City August 26-28.

Beamz Interactive, an interactive music products company that develops innovative musical instruments and music entertainment products to enable people of all ages and skill levels to play music, announced today a partnership with leading contemporary jazz artist Euge Groove on the release of his new interactive album titled Groove on This! Groove's new interactive album is delivered on data DVD in an innovative music format which includes Beamz Player music software to actually allow listeners to play each song on their computer and begin interacting with the music by pulling in various sounds and instruments as they see fit.

This software is compatible with the Beamz Player Interactive Music System, a user friendly musical instrument triggered by laser beams that allows consumers to create music by playing light. As a pioneer in this new interactive media, Euge Groove has re-recorded versions of his top songs to specifically work with the Beamz Player interactive music system so his fans can experience his music in a whole new way—adding movement and creativity to the listening experience. Groove's new data DVD includes an interactive album of ten re-mixed popular songs in mp3 format and ten songs in an interactive format; Beamz Player Software for users to be able to actually play interactively on their computers; and a video interview with Euge demonstrating the Beamz Player and discussing the benefits of interactive music.

J&R Music World in New York City will be the first retailer to carry the title during their MusicFest from August 26, 2010, located at 23 Park Row, New York, NY 10038. Euge Groove will be performing in-store at J&R Music World's MusicFest from 2:30-4:00pm on Friday August 27 and Saturday August 28.

“From the moment I saw the Beamz music instrument, I was intrigued. It's no joke around my family and friends that I've been bursting at the seams about this project," said Euge Groove. “When listening to my top hits in the new Beamz Interactive format, fans will not only be entertained, but they can also learn about the form of the composition, isolate the different instruments, and even change the ending if they want. The Beamz Player helps listeners connect with music in a whole new way."

The Beamz Player is a new and improved interactive music system that features a sleek, smaller-footprint design with four laser beams that trigger up to 12 different instruments, music clips, sound effects, or vocals as you pass your hands through the beams. Each beam controls a different pre-programmed instrument, rhythm or sound, so users can easily arrange and create their own music each time they play a song. The Groove on This! interactive album includes the Beamz Player software to provide consumers an introduction to experience of the interactive songs by using the computer keyboard or mouse. Users may also capture and record their “performances" of the interactive songs saved in the windows media file (*.wmf) or wave (*.wav) file format for playback on computers.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with Euge Groove and launch his popular jazz music into our interactive format," said Charlie Mollo, Beamz Interactive chief executive officer. “The Beamz is now touching diverse market segments, including a variety of artists that are using it to perform, write new music, teach and unleash their creativity. Other artists embracing the Beamz include Craig Chaquico, David Ellefson, Peter Erskine, and Vinyl Station."

Euge Groove is a smooth jazz artist. His album Born2Groove debuted at #1 and spent 18 months on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart. He has had many Top 10 songs, several reaching #1 including “B2G," “Religify," “SlamDunk," “Rewind" and “Get Em Going." Euge toured with Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, Eros Ramazotti, Richard Marx, Tower of Power and Huey Lewis and the News. In addition, he has supported Paula Abdul, Heart, Elton John, Aaron Neville, Bonnie Raitt and David Benoit as a recording artist.

Groove's album retails for $29.95 at J&R MusicWorld in New York City, TheBeamz.com and Amazon.com.
