Award-winning jazz vocalist Georgia Mancio presents a season of international and national artists in reflection of her far-reaching influences. In just a decade of professional work Mancio has established herself as one of the UK's most important new artists. Her highly acclaimed album, Silhouette (Roomspin Records, 2010), demonstrates her formidable skills as a lyricist and writer as well as an interpreter of jazz standards, Latin American classics and new originals.

The singer will be curating five nights of innovative jazz at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in London's Soho as well as performing a duo set each night with a star selection of musicians.

Maria Pia De Vito And Huw Warren: Dialektos
The remarkable musical encounter between Italian vocalist Maria Pia De Vito and Welsh pianist Huw Warren includes their own compositions, settings of Neapolitan poems and Brazilian songs.

Georgia and virtuosic award-winning jazz guitarist and band-leader, Nigel Price, present standards by Henry Mancini, Rodgers and Hart, Harry Warren and Horace Silver.

Karin Krog
with Ross Stanley (piano), Mark Hodgson (bass), Dave Ohm (drums) A rare opportunity to hear Norway's most unique jazz vocalist, Karin Krog, in an intimate setting performing standards, blues and new material.

Much lauded pianist/composer, Kate Williams, recipient of the John Dankworth Award for Talent Deserving Wider Recognition provides the title composition on Georgia's latest release, Silhouette.

Rebecca Parris
with Ross Stanley (piano), Mark Hodgson (bass), Dave Ohm (drums) Possessed of an incredibly warm, rich sound, a formidable technique and deep understanding of swing, blues, scat, bossa and ballads, there is no doubting Parris' standing on the world stage. She returns to the Pizza Express after a 15 year absence for two very special nights.

Australian guitarist, Dave Colton, has played with Georgia for over seven years and appears on both her 2003 debut album, Peaceful Place, and latest release, Silhouette. Tonight they celebrate their mutual love of Latin music.

BBC award-winner Shaw has long been lauded as one of the leading jazz vocalists of our time.

Sunday September 26
David Linx And Diederik Wissels
Belgian singer, composer, lyricist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, David Linx, has recorded some 15 albums as leader/co-leader and worked in an astonishing range of settings. His collaboration with award-winning Dutch pianist, composer and arranger, Diederik Wissels, began in 1992. Debuting tonight at the Pizza Express they present their own startlingly sophisticated and yet earthy originals.
