Pat Martino and Nicholas Barron To Perform at the Chicago Guitar Festival on Wednesday, October 6—Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Chicago, IL—Dot-to-Dot Management today announced that jazz guitar great Pat Martino will perform at Chicago's legendary Jazz Showcase from Thursday, October 7th through Sunday, October 10th as part of the much-anticipated Chicago Guitar Festival. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Nicholas Barron has also joined the Festival line-up, opening for Tim Sparks at Martyrs on Monday, October 11th.

Presented by Dot-to-Dot Management, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Serbian Cultural Arts Center of Chicago, the groundbreaking Chicago Guitar Festival is a week of performances by guitarists from all over the globe at venues all over Chicago. With a goal of not only celebrating Chicago's homegrown artists, but bringing internationally-renowned guitarists into the city, the Festival aims to enrich the pallet of the area's listening audiences. Artists scheduled to perform include Adam Del Monte, Renato Anesi Trio, Fareed Haque, Badi Assad, Gyan Riley, Tim Sparks, The AK Trio, Paulinho Garcia, Alfonso Ponticelli, Eastern Blok and the Andreas Kapsalis Goran Ivanovic Guitar Duo.

Concerts will take place at a multitude of Chicago venues, with an audience of over 10,000 guitar music fans expected over the course of the weeklong festival. A complete schedule of concerts, dates, times and locations will be announced later this summer.
