The Grammy-nominated Four Freshmen have dazzled millions of fans for six decades. They recently received the coveted Satchmo Award from the Sarasota Jazz Society.

The Four Freshmen continue to bring their unique brand of vocal harmony to global audiences, while touring the US and the world extensively. Their names have changed along the way but that legendary sound continues. The Four Freshmen were honored as Best Vocal Group in a 2007 Jazz Times Reader's Poll. The George Kahn Trio is a popular favorite at Catalina's. Kahn recently released his seventh CD, Secrets from The Jazz Ghetto, a two-disc compilation featuring original material and stellar arrangements of classic standards. Kahn was the winner of the 2008 Chuck Niles Bebop Award at the Temecula Valley Jazz Festival. The evening will begin with a no-host cocktail reception at 5:15 p.m., followed by the George Kahn Trio at 6:15 p.m. The live auction is scheduled at 7:15 p.m. The Four Freshmen will perform at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are $100, reserved seating; $50, non-reserved and $25 for bar seating. Food or a two-drink minimum is required at all levels. Tickets may be purchased online at CJF is a non-profit organization that assists California jazz musicians in crisis.
