Drummer Terry Clarke and his Blue Music Group release “It's About Time" has won the 2010 Jazz Recording of the Year Juno Award. It's About TIme features saxophonists Joe Lovano, Greg Osby and Phil Dwyer, guitarist Jim Hall and bassist/pianist Don Thompson. It's About Time is Clarke's premier album as leader, after an extensive career as a supportive sideman on hundreds of recordings.

The Down Beat magazine rated It's About Time with 4 1/2 stars: “A remarkable example of group interplay, capable of musical e.s.p. It stands to reason this album is simply an excellent example of what Clarke intends in his own liner notes 'Good no-holds-barred jazz with good people'. What makes It's About Time stand out is the way the rhythm section infiltrates and animates the music around the successive visits of tenorists Joe Lovano, Phil Dwyer and altoist Greg Osby." Critic Dietrich Matthus similarly raves the album on BlueMusicGroup.com by saying: “All musicians are reliable professionals, who deliver exemplary creativity and tradition. Especially Lovano's contribution is admirable, as he is able to surprise in any situation. [Jim Hall's] introductions to All the Things You Are and In a Sentimental Mood are masterful... Clarke is a steady and supporting drummer and enhances all soloists optimally."

It's About Time is produced by Clarke and mixed, mastered and co-produced by New York jazz pianist and composer Mika Pohjola.
