The Bloomsbury Set is a terrific initiative - bringing top class jazz artists exposure, outside traditional venues and re-inventing the tradition of wonderful entertainment in London's hotels

Created by Jazz FM and Radisson Edwardian Hotels, The Bloomsbury Set is to be re-born as a series of intimate evenings of fine dining and world-class jazz in the glamorous surroundings of the exclusive Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel.

The inaugural Bloomsbury Set evening, will take place on March 27 and features one of the world's biggest jazz stars Claire Martin, described by a New York critic as “a world class performer, offering proof-positive that jazz can be sung with a British accent."

The last Saturday of each month will see The Bloomsbury Set enjoying a spectacle of glamour, good food and great music as 150 guests mingle amid candlelight in one of London's most beautiful locations - the Folio Room.

“We've gone right to the top for our artists, “ said Jazz FM's CEO Richard Wheatly. “The Bloomsbury Set is a terrific initiative - bringing top class jazz artists exposure, outside traditional venues and re-inventing the tradition of wonderful entertainment in London's hotels. We expect this to become a regular monthly adventure that will feature in every London jazz fan's diary."

“World class food, drink and entertainment from great artists, at great value in a world class venue- who could ask for more?" asked Karthik Ramumurthy the Bloomsbury Street Hotel's General Manager.

The Bloomsbury Set promises to continue in fine style, as the April 24 evening will feature a double-headline: Gwyneth Herbert and Sarah Gillespie, while in May and June Ian Shaw and Lianne Carroll respectively will headline.

Tickets for The Bloomsbury Set launch event (hosted by Jazz FM breakfast show presenter Nigel Williams) are 49.50 including a sumptuous three-course supper, and are available to purchase online from the Jazz FM website or ticketweb.co.uk or by calling 08444 771000.
