Judy Wexler's "Talkin' About My Generation" at Vitello's March 24th

Judy Wexler makes her debut at Vitello's Upstairs with a new show called “Talkin' About My Generation," featuring music from the 60's-70's, with songs by Richie Havens, the Zombies, Procol Harum, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Donovan, Melanie, and many more. “Talkin' About My Generation" sets out to capture the musical zeitgeist of the times with a distinctive jazz twist, taking the audience on an adventure through psychedelia, the sexual revolution, social commentary, and protest songs. Judy is backed by Jeff Colella (piano), Chris Colangelo (bass), and Devin Kelly (drums), with additional vocals by special guests Catte Adams and Janelle Sadler.

Judy was featured on NPR Weekend Edition, and her latest CD, “Dreams & Shadows," debuted at #2 on the national JazzWeek chart when it was released in 2008. She has sung at international jazz festivals including Dubai, Tel Aviv, and Montreal, and headlined in jazz venues such as the Blue Note and Feinstein's in New York, Nardis in Istanbul, Blues Alley in Washington, D.C., and Jazz Alley in Seattle.
