Introducing Rene Wilson

Sultry, soulful, reminiscent and simply beautiful are just some words that have been used to describe the voice of Rene Wilson. Her unique style is a juicy, eclectic blend of folk, soul, jazz, rock, pop, blues and whatever else she decides to conjure up in her creative kitchen. Renee's intimate and resonant voice takes you back, drives you forward and emotionally takes you places you never even knew you wanted to go, leaving you wanting more and more and more.

As well as being a singer and songwriter, Rene is also an actress and filmmaker, best known for portraying Raelette Pat Lyle in the Academy Award winning film Ray.

Recently she produced and directed a documentary about her home town of New Orleans entitled Crepe Covered Sidewalks and is releasing her much anticipated debut album Voodoo Queen on Foxy As Roz Records in the Spring of 2010.

Excited and thrilled to be here, this soulful storyteller with the luscious voice and infectious smile invites you to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
