A note from the International Women In Jazz:

Dear Friends:

April is “Jazz Appreciation Month." We are happy to announce that the International Women in Jazz is producing the Women in Jazz Festival 2010. IWJ will recognize and pay tribute to the achievements and significance of women Jazz musicians and give them the opportunity to share their talent with other members of the Jazz world.

Our Festival will be held on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, at Saint Peter's Church - The Jazz Church - 619 Lexington Avenue at 54th Street, New York City. Celebrate with us and attend seminars, exhibits, and concerts by renowned Jazz artists. It will be a memorable Jazz experience.

This year we will honor three amazing women in Jazz. The great Robin Bell Stevens, President and CEO of Jazzmobile, the vivacious musician/historian Emme Kemp, and honor Centennial of the beloved Mary Lou Williams.
