About Trio Reenactment

Trio Reenactment performs original acoustic jazz inspired by an eclectic mix of sounds. The members of the trio, bassist John Barron, pianist Sven Anderson, and drummer Rob Emanuel are all acclaimed veterans of the Detroit music scene. The group's shared passion for the sounds of straight-ahead jazz, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and soul music helps to create a distinctive style, spontaneous and forward-thinking. Their music focuses on the accessible nature of each composition, spontaneous group interplay and improvisational prowess. Their self-titled debut received critical acclaim and airplay nationwide.

What Once Was... is the band's second release, continuing a musical exploration of soul, rock and straight-ahead jazz. The disc features eight original compositions and a cover of The Temptations hit 'Get Ready.'
