Band leader David Levy and New York City based Out To Lunch announce that they will be re-launching their residency at Nublu in NYC, performing every second Saturday of each month beginning on February 13, 2010. After three successful years of establishing themselves as a local favorite in the same venue, the adventurous jazz sextets live performances have become a mainstay on the underground NYC experimental jazz scene.

Riding on the success of the bands recently released sophomore album, Melvin's Rockpile (Accurate Records), the critically acclaimed Out To Lunch join ranks of other dynamic experimental jam outfits including Medeski, Martin and Wood, Jazz Mandolin Project, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey and Josh Roseman. Breaking from the precedent set by other highly touted artists in their genre, Out To Lunch create an entirely unique signature sound by fusing a full horn section with the bands rhythm section, and crossing their organic instrumentation with live electronica.

Melvin's Rockpile feeds listeners improvisational imagination with electric post-bop meets jazz-funk energy while continuously challenging the listeners aesthetic sensibility and captivating a cross-culture of audiences everywhere.
